What a Big Suprise

December 22 I took a pregnancy test and I'm pregnant. I started shaking i was in such shock. I called Dennis and he didnt believe me. Then I drove to work and when i parked i started crying. I was feeling very overwhelmed as this was not planned and Im not ready to share Nicholas yet. My plan was to get pregnant again when he was about 1 1/2 years old not now. If everything goes well they will be 13 months apart. This is alot to take in. Ironically I had Nicholas 1 day after my moms anniversary of her death, and i found out i was pregnant 1 day after my dads anniversary of his death very wierd. My due date by the pregnancy caclulator is August 27 1 month after Nicholas Birthday. Now that the initial shock is over Im feeling blessed.

Nicholas rolled over for the first time on December 3rd when he was at Tinkers house. I saw him roll over for the first time on December 6th. His favorite past time right now is grabbing things. He loves laying under the Christmas tree and grabbing the bulbs.

It was awful my heart stopped when I seen the blood my fear was he hurt his eye ball. Thankfully just 2 cuts, my poor baby.

Baby Nicholas First Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year at my sister Jodi's. She cooked a delicious meal and Wendy made some yummy pies. Next year Nicholas will be able to dig in he was just a bystander this year. The day was very special celebrating Nicholas first Thanksgiving and spending the day with family. There are so many thinks I'm thankful for a nice day to reflect on things that are important to you.

4 month check up

Nicholas did great yesterday at his 4 month check up no tears when he got his shots and so far so good no fever. He weighed 13.8 23% height 26 3/4 long 96% head circum 43 1/2 inches 82%. Doctor said he is growing great. The last two nights he has slept through the night. He has been in his big boy crib for 1 week now he loves it. He doesn't need to be swaddled anymore. My little boy is growing up so fast. He is loving solids, so far he loves apple sauce, bananas sweet potatoes, and carrots. He finally has upped his oz he is drinking 5 to 6 oz now he was drinking 4 oz. He is enjoying grabbing his toys and he loves sucking on his hands. He is now infatuated with his feet he loves to grab them and bring them to his face. He still hasn't rolled over yet he is almost there, were working on it but he hates belly time.

My little pumpkin is almost 16 weeks

I cant believe a year ago this time I was waiting, wondering if I would become a Mom. November 17th was the day I found out I was indeed pregnant. It was one of the happiest days of my life. I never thought I would be able to experience the joys of Motherhood. Now everyday I wake up loving that I'm a mom, everyday is a blessing to me, to watch him grow and smile and embrace life. My life has changed so much since that day I cant imagine life without him. These last couple of weeks Nicholas has learned how to grab and hold onto things. He has found his legs and loves to hold on to them. He is such a happy baby! Sleeping on the other had has been a challenge. Some days are better then others. I introduced Nicholas to rice cereal this past week and at first he didn't know what to make of it. Yesterday i mixed some bananas with it and he loved it. He has finally got the swallowing down. I don't want to go too crazy yet, technically I should really of waited a couple more weeks before introducing food to him but he is so hungry all the time. We are working on tummy time to help him learn to roll over but he hates it. He is still sleeping in the bassinet at this time. I really need to move him into the crib, I would probably get more sleep but its so hard. I'm thinking soon..... I have a video monitor I don't know what I'm waiting for.

3 months

So I have been back to work for 4 weeks now. The first week was a blur, just trying to catch up on everything. Now that I feel settled in, I have my routine down It hasnt gotten easier being away from Nicholas. Everyday I think about how much Im missing out on him, I feel like I never spend enough time with him, especially since by the time I bring him home he is pooped from the day. It is alot harder then I imagined. Unfortunately Im not rich so like most americans i got to go to work everyday and let someone else raise my precious child. Iam so thankful that I have family watching him it makes it a little easier.

Nicholas is such a good baby. He is full of smiles everyday. He loves to talk he tries to have conversations with you. He is so funny, I have no idea what he is saying but he always has alot to say. Sunday we will get our 3 month pictures. I cant wait to post them.
